Opioid Funding Opportunity

A funding application utilizing the County-level Opioid Settlement which is aimed at addressing and mitigating substance use disorders and the Opioid Crisis, is now open. These applications are available for projects and programs to be completed in Douglas, Grant, Pope, Stevens or Traverse counties.

The funding is aimed to support local organizations and initiatives focused on:

  • Foster Collaboration: Encourage collaboration among community-based organizations, healthcare providers, educational institutions, and other stakeholders to develop and implement innovative opioid abuse and misuse prevention programs.

  • Promote Education: Support initiatives that raise awareness about the risks of opioid misuse, enhance education on safe prescription prescribing practices, and empower individuals and families with knowledge to prevent opioid addiction.

  • Expand Access to Treatment and Support: Fund projects that improve access to evidence-based treatment, harm reduction services, and support for individuals struggling with opioid use disorder.

  • Advance Research and Data Collection: Invest in research efforts that provide critical insights into local opioid abuse trends and their impact, enabling data-driven decision-making for prevention efforts.
