Senior Coordinator and Caregiver Consultant

WPHS employs a Coordinator on Aging who is a trained advocate providing information and assistance to people over 60.  The primary goal is to assist residents of WPHS to age safely in their own homes whenever possible and assist them
if they are looking for alternative
living situations. 

 

There are NO income guidelines to qualify for the support of our Coordinator on Aging.

Energy & Fuel Assistance

Applications for Energy and Fuel Assistance can be obtained from West Central Communities Action

Ways we help include but may not be limited to:

  • Working with Nutrition Sites and home delivered meals

  • Partnering with  Dancing Sky Area Agency on Aging

  • Home visits

  • Forms Assistance

  • Health Care Directives

  • Nutrition Assistance Program for Seniors (NAPS)

  • Transportation resources

  • Community Education

  • Consumer Protection

  • Senior Legal Rights

  • Scams / Fraud

  • At times may assist with plans for recreational activities

  • Volunteer recruitment and training

  • Caregiver Relief

  • Caregiver Education and Support

  • Council on Aging

  • Group respite - Individual Respite

  • Senior Companions for the homebound

  • TRIAD (The Right Information And Direction) –a partnership of County,
    Law Enforcement and Community – focusing on Fraud and Scams.

  • NAPS (Nutrition Assistance Program
    for Seniors

  • Community Activities Planning
